Sarah is 2!

Can it possibly have been two years already? Our perfect, little baby has grown into a rambunctious, lovable toddler.

Sarah at age 2:
  • Full of energy and silliness. The happiest girl for the most part, unless she is throwing a tantrum, which is fairly often.
  • Loves reading books. Her favorites include Miss Spider, The Very Quiet Cricket, The Very Hungry Caterpillar (and anything else by Eric Carle), Little Critter, Disney Princess Stories, and just about anything with lots of animal pictures.
  • Huge fan of sing-a-long movies. Her favorite is a Disney princess sing-a-long that she calls "dream song show".
  • Talking up a storm. She has started giving up her baby words in favor of real ones, which is sometimes sad. Her favorite stuffed animal, who has always been "elton", is becoming "elephant", and she is finally learning the word "squirrel" in place of "wuggles". I love the cute baby words. She is learning new words every day, but half the time she is still speaking at a million miles an hour in a language that resembles Icelandic.
  • Loves playing with stuffed animals and will bury anyone she can get to sit still for long enough in animals and blankets.
  • Finally eating a little better, but she really prefers playing with her pretend food over eating real stuff.
  • Wants to play with Play-Doh about 7 times a day.
  • Perfectly happy to stay at home all the time. We can spend the day out doing the most fun thing ever, and all she wants to do is go home and play. Bedtime goes badly if we don't let her get adequate play time first.
  • Wants to do whatever Mom & Dad are doing, particularly cooking or doing dishes.
  • Gives wonderful cuddles, hugs, and kisses. If she wants to be held, she asks for a hug. We love all of those snuggles!
Taking nice photos of a 2 year old is a challenge :)
Of course, we have to take a few animals along.
And then there was an amazingly distracting rainbow.

Just being her sassy little self.
Doing a little dancing in the rain

And of course at the end we have to stop and smell the flowers. That's our girl!
