Kate: 7 Months

Kate is 7 months! Here is what is going on this month:
  • Rolling back and forth like crazy. She also pivots around in circles. Between the two, she manages to make her way to most things that she wants.
  • Turned into quite the chubby little lady. She has the most adorable, squishy thighs and at least two chins. It is hard to believe that she started out as that tiny 4 pound baby 7 months ago.
  • Started solids. She has liked most things we have fed her. She also enjoys trying to pick up the finger foods I put on her tray.
  • She shakes her head back and forth when she is happy.
  • Daddy gets the best smiles.
  • Not the best month for sleep. She is usually up at least twice, and it has been harder to get her to sleep at night.
  • Loves playing with toys, especially anything that makes a crinkly sound.

Kate is discovering the joy of summer at Grandma's house. Sarah was happy to have a real baby doll to tuck in the doll cradle in the playhouse.
First bite of solids. Her first taste was applesauce with oatmeal. She caught on pretty fast.
 First parade
Now that she rolls, Kate is officially a tummy sleeper. Unfortunately, she has decided that she has to sleep with her face planted directly in the mattress, which makes mommy nervous. She also has a tendency to knock her pacifier out of her mouth a dozen times while trying to get into a comfortable position. This leads to difficult bedtimes.
 Cutest little princess.
Finding her way into mischief. We still can't tell what color her eyes are. Maybe hazel.
Kate got to go on the girls' trip to the Oregon coast with Grandma, Mommy, and Aunt Katy. She was a pretty good travel companion, but she did get tired of all of the driving. By the end of each day, she was screaming about being in her carseat.
 First time on the beach
The balloon tied to her foot was great entertainment.
 Chubby baby toes!
Newest trick: Rocking back and forth on all fours!
These sisters love each other. Sarah is a great big sister and is always happy to help with Kate.
I can't believe she is getting so big!
