We met up with Grandma & Grandpa Hindman, Aunt Katy, and Jeremy and Amy's family on Monday night at the Candy Cane Inn in Anaheim to get ready to start our big adventure at Disneyland on Tuesday. We were all so excited!
We started our day on the Jungle Cruise, always a favorite.
Notice our adorable matching Mickey & Minnie shirts. Of course I failed to get a picture of us all together in them.
So many happy jungle cruisers!
Continuing the fun in Adventureland with Grandpa. We went on Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, Winnie the Pooh, and Splash Mountain. The Haunted Mansion was transformed into a Nightmare Before Christmas theme, which was super fun. Sarah loved it. Chris was intrigued by the rides. He liked them as long as it wasn't too dark.
After lunch, we went on It's a Small World.
Small World was totally transformed for Christmas, and it was amazing!
Sarah LOVED the parade. She waved to everyone. The Christmas-themed parade was really cute. It may not be cold in Anaheim in November, but Disney certainly makes it feel like Christmas.
Diving on the Nemo submarine. So exciting for Sarah! Chris really liked the bubbles.
Captain Hook! Sarah was the perfect age to enjoy the characters. Everything is magical when you are 4.
Sarah wanted to see the fireworks so much, so rather than taking kids home for bed, we hung out at the park for the evening. Chris conked out in the stroller and we took Sarah for her first ride on Splash Mountain. She was brave and didn't scream, but she told me afterward that she didn't like the "big splashy slide". She didn't come with me when I rode it again with Aunt Katy. We got her changed into dry clothes and made our way down to Main Street, which was absolutely magical with all of its Christmas happiness. Fifteen minutes before the fireworks started, Sarah fell fast asleep on Kelson's back. There was no waking her.
Kelson and Sarah had a nice snooze while we waited for the fireworks. Chris woke up the second they started, and Sarah slept through the whole thing. The Christmas fireworks show behind the castle was incredible. It ended with White Christmas and a real snowstorm. So much Christmas happiness!
