Little Miss Kate is 4 months old! A little about Kate at 4 months:
- 11 lbs, 12 oz (19th percentile for 36 week infant) and 23.25 inches long. Growing fast in length, but slowed down a little on her weight gain this month.
- Smiles like crazy, especially when she first wakes up. Whoever gets Kate out of bed gets her best smiles.
- If she wakes up during the night, it is only once. Often, she sleeps all night. Her record is close to 14 hours!
- Just in the last few days, Kate discovered toys. She can grab things with her hands and try to put them in her mouth. She also loves the dangling toys on her activity mat, and she can reach up and grab them. Sarah's hair is also a favorite to grab for.
- She has become much more aware and interactive. It is so fun to watch her grow and learn.
- Kate is such a happy, sweet baby and a joy to be around. She has started cooing and almost laughing.
I just love little baby feet and squishy baby thighs!
Kate celebrated her first Valentine's Day this month. We spent the day at Grandma's house. She looked adorable, and therefore needed a picture. She was ready for a nap and did not appreciate the picture taking.
Kate loves Grandma!
Kate has a big sister who takes very good care of her. Sarah is always ready to bring a pacifier, a blanket, or a toy to make Kate happy. Kate loves the teddy bear mobile on her crib.
We see Kate like this a lot. She is our sleepiest baby. She likes to sneak her left hand just to the top of her swaddle.
This month, Kate developed a great appreciation for bath time. She loves to kick and giggle in the bath.
