4th of July 2015

One of the things we were excited about when we learned we would be moving to the East Coast was celebrating the 4th of July here in the birthplace of America. Unfortunately, Kelson had to work nights that week, so he was asleep for the first half of the day and had to go to work before the fireworks started. That messed up any grand plans we had for the 4th of July, but we were still able to go to a barbecue with some good friends and celebrate the holiday.
I had fun making Sarah the cutest 4th of July outfit ever. She was adorable.
Sarah spent the afternoon following the big girls around and playing with the dog. There was a rather tragic moment when the dog stole her hot dog bun. Big alligator tears. Next time she will guard her food better.
After the party, Sarah went to bed and Kelson had to go to work. My happy moment for the day was when I heard the sound of fireworks and went outside to discover that I had a great view of one of the local fireworks shows from our front yard. It was the perfect way to end the day.
