Happy Birthday, Emily!

I had an awesome birthday! Kelson didn't have to work in the morning, so he stayed home with me. He made me a delicious omelet for breakfast and together we made lasagna and birthday cake for later. I got to spend the afternoon shopping and relaxing while Kelson went to work, and then we went to see a movie. What a great day!
The day ended on a high note with this FABULOUS birthday cake. It is a chocolate cake soaked in sweetened condensed milk, then topped with cherry pie filling, cool whip, and toasted almonds.  Thank you pinterest! You can find the recipe here.

I am so grateful for my wonderful husband who made my birthday special and wonderful.

One Very Busy Day of Service

We had an awesome, busy Saturday. We cleaned the church, helped a friend move, and participated in a Mormon Helping Hands service project to help clean up our community. With over 300 other people from our stake, we picked up trash and scrubbed graffiti all over the neighborhood. It was an awesome day and a great way for the people around here to see members of the church in action.

A Happy Easter and A Whirlwind Trip to Utah

We celebrated Easter by going to church early in the morning and singing in the ward choir. It was a wonderful way to start our Easter Sunday. After church, we went to Kelson's executive officer's house for Easter lunch. It was a happy day.
When we got home from church, the Easter bunny had come to visit!

Happy Easter!
The Friday after Easter, we went on a very quick trip to Kelson's parents' house in Cedar City, Utah. It was kind of a belated Christmas family reunion. Since we both had to work on Friday and Monday, we only got to stay for about 24 hours, but it was a good trip.  Kelson's sister, Jehana, and her family were there too, and we had a great time catching up with family.

A rousing round of Apples to Apples
The whole family, minus Kelson's brother, David, who is at boot camp right now.

It snowed the entire day that we were there. I guess we got a little bit of Christmas after all.

Before we left on Sunday, we stopped by the Cedar City war memorial. They have beautiful monuments honoring veterans of all of the wars since WWI. Being a military wife has made me even more grateful to these people who sacrificed for our country.

By the time we got to St. George, the weather had warmed right back up. I had never seen the temple there before, so we stopped for a walk around.

Gorgeous!
Life in the Mosier family is good. Life is always changing, and adventures are constantly coming our way. Kelson just finished a big inspection at work, and now he is spending lots of time studying so that he can qualify as a Surface Warfare Officer.
